Arq Research Program

In Arq Research Program scientific research projects of the partners in Arq Psychotrauma Expert Groep are brought together. About 10 researchers and 4 professors work on assessment and research to improve the knowledge, methods and techniques in managing traumatic experiences and psychotrauma. Arq Research Program offers a broad platform so the scientists can work together and stimulate each other, within and beyond Arq

The acting professors are:

  • Professor R.J. (Rolf) Kleber Ph.D., professor of Psychotraumatology at Utrecht University, is the moving force of Arq Research Program and supervisor of most PhD graduates.
  • Professor B.P.R. (Berthold) Gersons Ph.D. is Senior Scientific Advisor Arq Foundation and Professor Emeritus Psychiatrie AMC/University of Amsterdam.
  • Professor P.G. (Peter) van der Velden Ph.D. is professor Mental Health, Disasters and Calamities at Tilburg University/Intervict.
  • Prof. M (Miranda) Olff Ph.D. is professor Neurobiological Mechanisms of Prevention and Treatment in Trauma and PTSD, AMC/University of Amsterdam.

This was the website of the Psychotraumatology Foundation: Knowledge and Application (KTP). The KTP is a Dutch collaboration between The Institute for Psychotrauma (IvP) and Stichting Centrum '45 to support, among others, the Chair of Psychotraumatology of Utrecht University. With this chair they offer Utrecht University an opportunity to further research and teach about the psychological consequences of traumatic experiences. KTP participates in Arq Research Program. The content of the KTP website has moved to this website.
